Refund Policy

1. Scope
This policy applies to any booking paid online on the Obrigado Transports website, whether the Client paid the full fare or a 20% deposit at the time of booking.
2. Cancellation by the Client
Cancellation more than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time: full refund of the amount paid (deposit or full payment).
Cancellation between 48 and 6 hours before pick-up: 50% refund of the amount paid. The remaining 50% is retained as compensation for the driver, who had blocked the time slot. Obrigado Transports reserves the right to assess exceptional circumstances within this window on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation 6 hours or less before pick-up, or no-show at the meeting point: no refund. The full amount paid remains due.
Cancellations must be communicated via WhatsApp or phone at +33 1 89 70 64 14 as early as possible.
3. Special case: flight delay or cancellation
A flight delay reported in advance is not treated as a cancellation: flight tracking automatically adjusts the pick-up time at no cost or penalty.
If the flight is cancelled by the airline and the journey becomes irrelevant, the service is fully refunded or rescheduled, at the Client's choice, regardless of how much notice remains before the originally scheduled time.
4. Cancellation by Obrigado Transports
If Obrigado Transports cancels the service (driver unavailability, breakdown, force majeure), the Client is fully refunded without delay, regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
5. Refund process
Refunds are processed via Stripe, to the same payment method used at booking. Bank processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days after the refund is validated by Obrigado Transports.
6. Remaining balance after a deposit
When the Client has paid a 20% deposit at booking, the remaining 80% balance is due to the driver at the end of the journey, by card or cash. This balance is not covered by this refund policy, as it is only collected once the journey has actually taken place.
